Contesting the East African Safari Classic Rally remains one of the biggest challenges in rallying.

Eight days across varied African terrain in a brilliantly prepared Tuthill 911 is something I always look forward to immensely. This year I teamed up for a second time with Philip Kadoorie on what was still only his fifth ever rally.

Whilst co-driving isn't my normal 'thing,' the chance to contest this iconic event is irresistible and as this was now my fifth "Safari," which means 40 days in a rally car in Africa, I feel I have lots of experience I can share with Phil to help him through the event.

We had a great run and other than a few punctures that held us back were very pleased to take a fifth place finish and to the second of the twelve Team Tuthill cars at the finish.

Finishing a Safari is liked finishing no other rally, a mixture of joy and relief!
